"By contributing as a library Friend, you can make a lasting difference."
Have you attended one of our library programs recently: maybe a paint night, a folded book art craft, or a holiday celebration for a young child? Have you been a raffle prize winner of one of our reading contests? Did you know that all of these are funded by the Friends of the Library and are not covered by taxpayer dollars?
The Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization and advocacy group that works to provide additional programs, equipment and services that would not otherwise be available through the library's operational budget. They also provide funding for museum passes that provide free or reduced admission to area attractions, movie licenses and an annual college scholarship. The Friends raise funds with book sales and a membership drive.
The Friends meet monthly on Mondays at 6:30 pm in Room 1A at the Senior/Community Center. All are welcome.
Check the library calendar for a full listing of dates.
